Just a quick post for today - next week starts our focus weeks on Functional Skills - and next week is English. Have a fab weekend! This week we've been raising money for Children in Need; in total we've raised £176.83 for Children in Need! The money has come from;
brilliant work everyone!Today is all about ICT exams for me - some in the morning and more in the afternoon.
Good luck everyone! (remember that ICT results take about 2 months to come back so it will be a while!) The other groups are looking at Remembrance Day. In Flanders Field In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. John McRae 1915 This has been a good week; lots of excellent sites under production and I've been pleased to see how well they've been taken to by learners.
Above is next week's timetable. Have an awesome weekend! Today started with a round of small scale presentations on the topic of fireworks - well done to all the groups for their slides. It was good to hear everyone speak in the session. In the coming weeks we're going to be doing presentations to the whole group so this is a good practice for that!
The session finished off with Unit work towards Unit 102 - good knowledge was shown by everyone about the Health & Safety at Work Act. |
